The world"s progressives are getting ever more enthusiastic about learning the Songun idea and politics whose validity and vitality are given full play along with the invincible might of the DPRK that is winning victory after victory under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. Last year the idea and politics were studied and disseminated throughout the world amid great interest of the people.

<##IMAGE##>Celebrated works of Kim Jong Il on the Juche idea, the root of the Songun idea, were published in booklet by organizations and institutions of over 40 countries including the Paektusan Association for the Independent Development of Mongolia; the Mexican Institute of the Juche idea; the Funtra publishers of the Czech Republic; the Narodna Tribuna publishers of Bulgaria; the Pavnic publishers of Guyana; and a Maltese publishers.

The Publilaser publishers of Peru noted in the preface of the booklet that without the Juche idea, the Korean people could have neither defended the socialist banner under the trying ordeals nor foiled the constant aggressive moves and vicious economic blockade by the US and its followers, adding that leader Kim Jong Il strengthened Songun politics which is based on the Juche idea.

Political parties and other organizations of different countries including Nepal, Pakistan, Italy and the Democratic Republic of Congo issued books and bulletins under such titles as "The cause of Juche and Songun politics", "Homeland of Songun politics" and "The might of Songun" which explain the principle and originality of the Songun idea established and enriched by President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il and praise the might of the DPRK shining as a fortress of independence under the banner of Songun.

Study and dissemination of the Songun idea and politics were carried on in various forms on a worldwide scale.

Symposiums, round-table talks, lectures and other events were held on over 500 occasions in more than 120 countries and regions such as Russia, Syria, India, Thailand, Belarus, France, Romania, Bulgaria, Uganda, Tanzania and Venezuela.

The Songun idea and politics were praise as a guarantee of national sovereignty and prosperity and global peace and security at the events held on such themes as "Songun and socialist Korea" and "Almighty weapon for the cause of anti-imperialist independence" with the attendance of politicians, public figures and broad segments of people of different countries and regions.

The chairperson of the Party for Peace and Unity of Russia said that Songun politics is politics to build and impregnably defend the cradle of the people"s life and politics ensuring the people"s opinion. The secretary general of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the People"s Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, the general secretary of October 8 Revolutionary Movement of Brazil and the chairman of the Forum of Self-Reliance Studies of Nepal highly praised that the Songun idea is an excellent idea that enables countries to safeguard their sovereignty and Songun politics is kept in the hearts of the world people for its might, validity and vitality, inspiring them to the road of independence, referring to the fact that the DPRK is demonstrating its might, foiling the eve-pronounced aggressive moves of the US.

The East European and Central Asian Regional Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics adopted a declaration calling for following Songun politics, noting that the politics administered by Kim Jong Il is the greatest politics in the present times.

More than 300 newspapers and broadcasters including Russian newspaper Patriot, Prensa Latina News Agency of Cuba, Lao newspaper Pasason, Thai newspaper Xing San Ribao, Bulgarian newspaper Duma, Czech newspaper Halo Noviny, British newspaper Proletarian, Mexican newspaper Trabajadores and Peruvian broadcaster Santarosa introduced the might and vitality of the Songun idea and politics under such titles as "The immortal banner to be held up by the world"s progressives", "Modern Korea and Songun" and "Songun is a sure guarantee for accomplishing the cause of independence of humankind" from the outset of last year in keeping with the world"s trend toward sympathizing with and learning Songun.

Worldwide study and dissemination of the Songun idea and politics last year reflected the common desire of progressive humankind aspiring for an independent life and demonstrated the validity, magnetic charm and inexhaustible vitality of the cause of Songun.
