Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- Round-table talks, lectures, meetings, reading-sessions, film shows and photo exhibitions were held in Brazil, India, Zimbabwe, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Sweden and Democratic Congo from Sept. 27 to Oct. 4 on the occasion of the 60th birthday of the Workers" Party of Korea. The chief of the Parliamentary Group of the Popular Socialist Party of Brazil, in a lecture, said that the WPK has made great contributions not only to the Korean revolution but to the cause of global independence over the last six decades.
The Zimbabwean police chief in a lecture said that the WPK has been developed to be a most revolutionary and militant party and victoriously led the struggle of the Korean people for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche and building a great prosperous powerful nation under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, who has successfully carried forward the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung.
The chairman of the Plzen City Committee of the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia of the Czech Republic at round-table talks said as the Korean people hold the great leader in high esteem, they have confidently advanced along the road of socialism chosen by themselves without any hesitation despite the imperialists" moves to stifle the DPRK.
Youssef Amin Wali, vice-chairman of the National Democratic Party of Egypt, at round-table talks said that the WPK founded by Kim Il Sung and led by Kim Jong Il has performed great exploits by successfully leading the struggle of the Korean people.
Rolf Hagel, chairman of the Stockholm Branch of the Communist Party of Sweden, in a lecture, said that the WPK founded by Kim Il Sung 60 years ago has its historic roots in the Down-with-Imperialism Union and is guided by the Juche idea.
Jean Baptiste Nkoy, general secretary of the People"s Rally for Socialism of Democratic Congo, at a reading-session on the "First Party Organization-Society for Rallying Comrades" in Vol. 2 of Part 1 The Anti-Japanese Revolution from Kim Il Sung"s reminiscences "With the Century", highly praised the immortal exploits Kim Il Sung performed by successfully accomplishing the cause of party founding and those Kim Jong Il has performed by further strengthening the WPK into a guiding force of the Songun revolution.
