《산중의 바다》- 연풍호
위대한 령도자 김정일동지께서는 다음과 같이 교시하시였다.
《연풍호는 위대한 수령님의 크나큰 은덕에 의하여 마련된 우리 나라에서 제일 큰 인공호수들중의 하나입니다.》
공화국의 평안남도 안주시와 개천시사이에 위치하고있는 연풍호는 5천여리의 물길을 따라 10여만정보의 논밭에 생명수를 보내주는 대인공호수이다.
연풍호는 우리 나라 농촌수리화에서 위대한 전변이 이룩된 력사를 전하는 만년대계의 기념비적창조물이다.
해방직후 위대한 수령님께서는 물을 마음껏 쓰면서 농사를 해보았으면 하는 열두삼천리벌 농민들의 세기적인 숙원을 깊이 헤아리시고 평남관개공사의 웅대한 설계도를 펼쳐주시였다.
주체36(1947)년에 희주천하류를 막아 건설하기 시작한 연풍호공사는 조국해방전쟁으로 일시 중단되였고 시설물들은 모조리 파괴되였었다.
전후 나라일에 그처럼 바쁘신가운데서도 연풍호공사장을 10여차례나 현지지도하시며 공사를 기한전에 끝내도록 현명하게 이끌어주신 위대한 수령님께서는 주체45(1956)년 5월 완공된 저수지에 세세년년 만풍년이 들라는 의미를 담아 친히 《연풍호》라는 이름까지 지어주시였다.
둘레의 길이만 해도 수백리나 되는 거창한 인공호수인 연풍호는 그 풍치 또한 아름다워 우리 인민들의 사랑을 받고있다.
유람선에 몸을 싣고 호수가운데로 나가면 호수끝이 보이지 않아 바다가운데 있는것 같고 호안과 그 주변은 무더운 여름에도 서늘하며 기슭에는 물결까지 일어 내륙이지만 마치 바다가에서 바다구경을 하는것 같은 느낌을 준다.
호수의 북쪽 산봉우리에는 호수와 그 일대의 자연풍치를 다 볼수 있게 지은 《연풍루》정각이 날아갈듯 솟아있다.
호수두리에 늘어선 산발들과 소나무, 이깔나무, 밤나무, 참나무, 황철나무, 잣나무 우거진 푸른 산봉우리들이 수정같이 맑은 물에 비껴 조화를 이루고있어 황홀경을 이룬다.
해마다 봄이면 진달래, 철쭉, 살구꽃을 비롯한 아름다운 꽃들이 피여나 향기도 그윽한데 가을에는 단풍이 붉게 물들어 호수우에 꽃무늬를 수놓아 명승지의 풍경을 더욱 돋구어주고있다.
연풍호에는 잉어, 붕어, 가물치를 비롯하여 40여종의 물고기가 살고있으며 경치좋은 곳에는 우리 인민들의 문화휴식을 위한 유원지가 꾸려져있다.
호수기슭에는 소년단야영소와 휴양소, 료양소, 정양소가 있으며 특히 경애하는 원수님의 사랑속에 각종 봉사시설을 갖추고 번듯하게 일떠선 과학자휴양소가 훌륭히 꾸려져 연풍호의 풍치를 더욱 돋구어준다.
