The people of the DPRK are calling the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) the motherly party.

Such fact can be unthinkable without the popular traits shown by the peerlessly great men who have made a history of love and trust in this land.

President Kim Il Sung, the founder of the WPK, had believed in the people as in heaven from the first day of his revolutionary activities and developed the WPK into a motherly party, reflecting the people's requirements and wishes in its policies.

Chairman Kim Jong Il, identical to the President in idea, guidance and traits, had led the WPK to fully discharge its mission and duty as the motherly party. Lots of stories about his loving care and trust in the people are recorded in the history of the WPK.

Steady continuity has been given to the WPK's history of love for the people by Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The Supreme Leader set it as the party climate to make selfish, devoted efforts for the good of the people. When a heavy flood hit the northern areas of North Hamgyong Province three years ago, he took an important measure to direct all efforts to the reconstruction of disaster areas.

That's why the Korean people are offering their warm congratulations to the WPK on the threshold of its 74th anniversary (October 10), more keenly feeling the gratitude of the motherly party. -
