Fighting against slanderers of Kwangju Popular Uprising
South Korean bodies such as the May 18 Memorial Foundation are reportedly raising legal actions against those who are falsifying the facts of the May 18 Kwangju Popular Uprising.
On October 10, the May 18 Memorial Foundation said that the supreme court gave the final verdict on conservative discourser Ji Man Won, who spread false rumors of the "north's intervention", to pay for compensation on September 26.
The foundation said this showed that those who tamper with the truth of the May 18 uprising are bound to be punished by law.
The foundation expressed the will to continue fighting against these slanderers to the end.
