Pyongyang -- The international community is witnessing a fierce struggle between the aggression forces and anti-imperialist independent forces. The stronger becomes the people"s struggle to defend sovereignty and secure peace, the more desperately the imperialist forces cling to the strong-arm policy. The imperialists" supremacy and power politics is the insolent outcome of their megalomanic delusion that they are the strongest in the world and they can do everything at their discretion.

If they are tolerated, the world peace and order will be destroyed and the people will suffer great disasters.

The reality urgently demands that the whole people of the world who aspire for independence and peace strengthen the struggle against the aggression and war manoeuvres of the imperialists.

Sovereignty means a sacred right of each country that are not to be violated by anybody else. Nobody can undertake the defence of sovereignty for others, but it should be defended by the own struggle of the nation.

Struggle of defending peace against war is just the struggle for defending national sovereignty.

The important task in the struggle is to direct the spearhead of attack towards US imperialism.

The United States, which pursues the gangster-like logic that there can be only one ruling order in the world, classifies the countries into this or that side and expands its domination and control over the world by winning over the countries that support or follow it to its side and exerting pressure and power upon independent countries.

It bluntly advocates the theory on preemptive nuclear strike in an attempt to eliminate the countries which stand in its way and expedites the establishment of the missile defence system turning a deaf ear to the world"s protest and denunciation.

This shows that neither the prevention of war nor the world peace is possible without fighting the US that is at the bottom of the peace destruction.

What is also important in the struggle to defend peace against war is to dispel illusions about the imperialists and to sharpen vigilance against their argument about "establishing democratic order" and "championing human rights".

The US is speaking loudly about "human rights", "freedom" and "democracy", which it is advertising absurdly need intervention in the internal affairs of and military invasion on other countries. But it is only an excuse for their intervention and a prelude to new aggression wars.

It is none other than the US that is torturing and killing prisoners in the secret prisons it set up all over the world, and showered indiscriminately the chemical bombs on the residential areas in Iraq, thus burning masses of innocent people to death.

The United States is the wicked criminal who cruelly tramples on and destroys the human rights, freedom and democracy.

It is an important task in the anti-war struggle to see the true colour of the US and to strongly denounce and frustrate its deceptive moves to spread "democracy" and defend "human rights".

All the peace-loving countries and people should unite firmly to launch a dynamic struggle for peace against war.

It is the truth of history that they can emerge victorious in the struggle against imperialism when united, but fail when divided.

Strengthening the struggle is not only the common task of the times, but also the international duty of all the countries and people who highly value the sovereignty.

It is a matter of course that the peace-loving forces all over the world should wage the struggle in unity when the US regards the whole world as a target of aggression.

Therefore, when the peace-loving people fight in unity upholding the banner of defending peace against war, the imperialist forces will become impotent however frantically they wield the nuclear weapons.
