Tehran -- Iran"s President welcomed relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and North Korea.
In a meeting held at the sideline of the Non-Aligned Movement Human Rights and Cultural Diversity gathering, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad stated that the Islamic Republic of Iran and North Korea through cooperation and supporting each another in the Non-Aligned Movement organization and the United Nations could defend the rights of independent nations and countries.
Also the North Korean foreign minister for his part while delivering his country"s leader and parliament speaker"s warmest greeting to President Ahmadinejad stated that North Korea fully supported Iran"s nuclear program.
He also referred to the important role of security in the Middle East and asked for expansion of mutual ties between the two sides.
