Rodong Sinmun of the DPRK Thursday in editorial marked the 74th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK):

The founding of the WPK was a solemn declaration of the birth of new-type revolutionary party in the era of independence and a historic event of great significance in carving out the independent destiny of the Korean people and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.

The long history of the WPK is a proud history in which it has paved the road of the revolution by dint of the single-minded unity and advanced the cause of building a powerful nation of Juche under the wise leadership of the peerlessly great men.

The WPK is a militant party with the firm monolithic ideological system and strong sense of organization and discipline, an invincible revolutionary party that struck roots among the popular masses and became the harmonious whole with the masses and an iron-willed party leading the revolution and construction to victory with its veteran and experienced leadership. It is just a real appearance of the WPK.

The great leaders developed the WPK into organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people and passed on the single-minded unity of the Party and revolutionary ranks as a precious heritage. Their revolutionary exploits will shine forever.

The glorious history of the WPK which has emerged ever-victorious holding aloft the banner of a single-minded unity is energetically carried forward under the guidance of Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un.

The WPK led by Kim Jong Un will as ever record the history of victory, dignity and prosperity upholding the banner of a single-minded unity.
