Pyongyang, March 27 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a letter of thanks from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on March 25.
The letter said:
You, considerate of the huge damage Koreans in Japan suffered from the killer earthquake and ensuing tsunami, sent relief fund of 500,000 U.S. dollars to disaster-stricken compatriots.
The Chongryon Central Standing Committee, reflecting the profound reverence and loyalty of all the officials of Chongryon and Koreans in Japan for you, extends the most heart-felt thanks to you for relieving compatriots of their quake damage and imbuing them with courage and strength of rebirth.
